On Monday, September 29, 2025, the Interparliamentary Kingdom Consultations continued. In the morning, delegations met separately to review the draft Agreements List. Following these discussions, the IPKO Presidium convened to amend and approve the draft before further handling in the plenary session.
At midday, the delegations were received by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander at Palace Noordeinde in The Hague. After being formally introduced to His Majesty, which was followed by a group photo, members of the delegations engaged in discussions with the King on their role as representatives of the people, the experiences of citizens across the Kingdom, and opportunities for practical cooperation within the Kingdom.
The September 2025 IPKO officially concluded with the unanimous approval of the Agreements List by all four parliamentary delegations representing the Parliaments of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, and the States General of the Netherlands. The approval was followed by the official signing by the Delegation Leaders and a press conference featuring the Delegation Leaders of each country, as well as the Chairpersons of the Kingdom Affairs Committees of each country.
The next IPKO is scheduled to take place in February 2026 in Aruba, where delegations are expected to, inter alia, follow up on the Agreements List of September 2025, receive a technical briefing on the Kingdom’s geopolitical situation, and discuss the financial relations within the Kingdom.
